Noah, Daniel and Job

"Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord God." Eze 14:14

In Ezekiel 14:14, three men of God are grouped together, Daniel, Noah, and Job.  Daniel in his vision saw an end of sins (Dan 9:24).  Noah saw the end of all flesh (Gen 6:13).  And Job saw the end of the Lord that He was gracious (James 5:11).  Job was a worshipper at the last.  The three portions in Galatians correspond to the experiences of these mighty men.  They also find an illustration in the trespass offering, the sin offering and the burnt offering respectively.  The Cross no only removes our transgressions (Gal 1:4), it atones for what we inherently (Gal 2:20), and it gives us that which is a sweet savour to God to glory in, in His presence (Gal 6:14).
