The Shadow of His Wings — “
Because Thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of Thy wings will I rejoice.” (Ps
63:7) This shadow is for daily
troubles.

The Shadow of His Almighty — “
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide (or pass the night) under the shadow of the Almighty.” (
Psa 91:1; cf
Is 26:3) This shadow is for daily
trust.

The Shadow of a Great Rock — “
Behold a king shall reign in righteousness and princes shall rule in judgment, and a man shall be a hiding place from the wind, and a covet from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.” (
Is 32:1,
2) This shadow is for daily
thirst.

The Shadow of His Hand — “
He hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand hath He hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in His quiver hath He hid me; and said unto me, Thou art my servant.” (
Is 49:2) This shadow is for daily
tasks.

The Shadow of His Presence — “
I sat down under His shadow with great delight, and His fruit was sweet to my taste.” (
Song 2:3) This shadow is for daily
teaching.
6.
The Shadow of His Tabernacle — “
And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.” (
Is 4:6) This shadow is for daily
trials.
7.
The Shadow of His Bounty — “
They that dwell under His shadow shall return, they shall revive as the corn and grow as the vine.” (
Hos 14:7) This shadow is for daily
triumph.
The seven combined cover the wide field of
comfort,
communion,
confidence,
competence,
companionship,
contentment and
constraint.
