There are five principal wounds that the Lord bore on behalf of our sins.
1. Contusion (Matt 27:30)
2. Penetration (Luke 23:33)
3. Perforation (Mark 15:25, John 19:37)
4. Laceration (John 19:1)
5. Incision (John 19:34)
