Two on the Emmaus Road

Labels: , .

One of the two disciples on Emmaus Road was a man named Cleopas. The other may have been his wife. One tradition is that it was Luke himself. Whatever the identity, they were in what I term the "circle of revelation". In this circle of revelation (Luke 24), there are full of opened things.

1. Open Sepulchre (v2, 24)
2. Open Scriptures (v27, 32, 44)
3. Open Home (v29)
4. Open Eyes (v31)
5. Open Heart (v32)
6. Open Lips (v34)
7. Open Understanding (v45)
8. Open Heaven (v51)

Contrast v27 with v44, there is a greater perception of Christ with a greater group.

Thank you for your compliment. Many thoughts and insights in this blog are the meditations of gifted saints whom the Lord has given to His Church. We stand upon their merits in our meditations.
